Biography

Weiwei Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and an external expert at Sidley Austin LL.P.'s Geneva office.

Weiwei’s current research focuses on international trade and investment law.  She lectures on trade in services at the IELPO LL.M. and the World Trade Institute.  Weiwei’s previous experience includes working as a consultant to Sidley Austin LLP’s Geneva Office on WTO disputes; as a project manager on the EU-China Trade Project to provide technical assistance relating to China's implementation of its WTO commitments; and as an intern at the Trade in Services Division of the WTO Secretariat. She also taught a graduate course on international trade and investment law at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. 

Weiwei obtained her PhD in International Law summa cum laude from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and holds a Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (IELPO LL.M.) as well as a Master of Economics.
