TradeLab aims at empower countries and smaller stakeholders to reap the full development benefits of global trade and investment rules. Through pro bono legal clinics and practica, TradeLab connects students and experienced legal professionals to public officials especially in developing countries, small and medium-sized enterprises and civil society to build lasting legal capacity. TradeLab clinics are from The Graduate Institute (Geneva, Switzerland), Georgetown University (Washington D.C., United States), the University of Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain), Jindal Global Law School (New Delhi, India), University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Canada), Qatar University (Doha, Qatar) and Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa (Arusha, Tanzania).
The first project was successfully developed by three students from the 2015-2016 edition, Sébastien Lauzier (from Canada), Juan Sebastián Vallejo and Camilo Vicaría (both of them from Colombia) under the supervision of Prof. Xavier Fernández Pons, Co-Director of the IELPO LL.M.
