The University of Barcelona (UB)’s Master of Laws in International Economic Law and Policy (IELPO LL.M.) is a one-year full-time program taking place in Barcelona and starting in September each year. It brings together students from all over the world and leading International experts in International Law, Macroeconomics, International Finance, International Trade, Regionalism, Investment and Competition. IELPO is considered to be a world leading program in its field.
In only 4 years, IELPO has been able to maintain its core standards of excellence and expertise. As the lack of economic resources could be an important impediment to attract excellent applicants, IELPO has established since its very inception a Scholarship Program intended to cover partial and full tuition waivers. In April 2012, the IELPO LL.M. Scholarship Program has been incorporated into the DREI–IELPO Scholarship Program set up by the UB and the Patronat Catalunya Món (http://www.patronatcatalunyamon.cat/), in the framework of an agreement with the Catalan Government and the Barcelona City Council.
This new partnership will allow students from all over the world to benefit from scholarships to pursue this LL.M. Master program in Barcelona. Scholarships are diversified and comprise partial and full tuition waivers as well as, in some specific cases, travel and/or accommodation expenses.
As a result, the current applications deadline, 30 April 2012, will be extended to those applicants who are willing to apply to the UB-Patronat Catalunya Món DREI–IELPO Scholarship Program. As this program is broader in scope than the previous IELPO Scholarship Program, the Patronat Catalunya Món has asked for an extension of the deadline for applications. The new deadline will be 30 June 2012.The awarded students will be announced after this date.
