IELPO Prizes at the ELSA WTO Moot Court Competition (EMC2)

During the Final Oral Round held in Santo Domingo on May 24-30, IELPO granted numerous prizes to EMC2 participants

The ELSA Moot Court Competition (EMC²) is a simulated hearing in the World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement system organized every year by The European Law Students' Association, ELSA and open to teams from all over the world. Competitor teams represent both the Complainant and Respondent parties to the Case by presenting oral submissions in front of a Panel. The Competition provides students with the opportunity to put theory into practice, thereby complementing their formal legal education.

IELPO granted prizes to the runner-up team, the best oralist in the preliminary rounds and the best written submissions. These prizes will allow EMC2 participants to attend IELPO Specialized Courses during the 2010-2011 academic year. IELPO had also granted prizes to participants in the different regional rounds of the competition (two European Rounds, an Asian Round, a Pacific Round, a North American Round and a Latin American Round).
