This week IELPO has counted on the presence of Mr. Gaetan Verhoosel. Mr. Verhoosel is partner in Covington&Burling's London office. He is a member of the bars of Paris and Madrid. He has been a lecturer on international dispute resolution at the Sciences Po graduate school in Paris, currently teaches investment treaty arbitration in the IELPO LL.M. program at the University of Barcelona law school, and serves as a co-rapporteur for the Committee on International Litigation and the Public Interest of the International Law Association.
Mr. Verhoosel received his J.S.D. and LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and his Belgian law degree magna cum laude from the University of Leuven. Mr. Verhoosel also received a Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
During his course Mr. Verhoosel addressed the issues of access to justice for the protection of international investments, international arbitration, investment treaty arbitration. He also prepared an investment arbitration simulation.
