IELPO this Week: March 3-6: Comparative Regionalism

Comparative Regionalism: Systemic Dynamics with Professor Kati Suominen from the IADB

This week we have counted on the presence of Ms. Kati Suominen, International Trade Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington and non-resident fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. During her course she has addressed the rise of RTAs in the global economy in the last 20 years, analized the drivers of the RTA wave and explored RTAs' implications on the multilateral trading system. The class has been very interactive given that students have had to negotiate a RTA, discuss trade policy options and make recommendations on how to manage the RTA system.
