James Losari is Indonesian. He graduated recently in 2010 with an LL.B. from Universitas Pelita Harapan. During a period of three and a half years of study at the university, James was actively involved in various moot court competitions dealing with public international law, both as a participant or as a coach.
Upon graduation, James did an internship program at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia, where he was assigned to conduct research on international investment and international arbitration. The internship also provided James with an opportunity to participate in Foreign Direct Investment Moot Court Competition held in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was awarded as one of the Honorable Mentioned Oralists.
In order to put his knowledge of international arbitration into practice, James returned to Indonesia and worked for Hadiputranto Hadinoto & Partners, an Indonesian law firm which is an affiliate of Baker & McKenzie. At the firm, James was hired as a trainee associate and was dealing intensely with various corporate commercial works, most notably assisting foreign direct investment from overseas companies into Indonesia.
James's native language is Indonesian, but at home he speaks fair Mandarin. He is also fluent in English and continues to learn French until now. James believes that IELPO will provide him with an opportunity to expand his career to be an international lawyer.
