Josefina Diaz Vega was born in Buenos Aires in 1982. She is an Argentinean and Spanish national who has a Bachelor in Law degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina (Universidad de Buenos Aires -UBA-) and an LLB (Hons) (JD equivalent) as a distance learning student in Wolverhampton University (United Kingdom), being part of the first class, with only three colleagues, to achieve this degree in Argentina.
Josefina has worked in the law firm Marval, O'Farrell & Mairal (Buenos Aires, Argentina) as a trainee in the department of Corporate Law, Foreign Investments and Mergers & Acquisitions dealing mainly with due diligences audits, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and corporate dispute resolutions, as well as in the department of Intellectual Property.
After successfully completing the training period she was incorporated as associated lawyer in the department of Banking & Finance dealing mainly with inward investments by foreign investors, trade finance, leasing transactions, project finance, governmental approvals, regulatory requirements and economic policies.
Josefina attended a Postgraduate Course in Business Legal Counsel and Economic Law (Asesoramiento Jurídico de Empresas y Derecho Económico) at the Argentine Catholic University (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Argentina -UCA-). Josefina is currently attending the International Economic Law and Policy Program at the University of Barcelona in view to broaden her analytical tools and skills necessary to comprehend the international economic law, especially in international commercial business and finance.
Josefina is a native speaker of Spanish, fluent in English and has intermediate knowledge of Italian.
