Wilson Fontes Ribeiro



Wilson Fontes Ribeiro is a Brazilian lawyer graduated in 1995 from University Federal de Sergipe, a Public University located in the northeast of Brazil. Since then, he has been working for the Brazilian Government in different positions.  He worked at the Ministry of Treasure in the Competition department responsible for cartels combat in the economy. After that, he worked as a Federal Government Lawyer, representing the Federal Government in Courts for many years. At present, he is a Senior Legal Advisor in the Ministry of Development and Trade Affairs.

Mr. Wilson Ribeiro has also graduated in Public Administration by the Escola Nacional de Administração Pública-ENAP, studied Economy at the George Washington University and attended to certifications courses:  1) Law and Economics, Mediation and Patent Law by Buenos Aires University, 2) Negotiation by Harvard Law School; 2) American Law by IUSLAW;  3) Subsidies and Countervailing Duties by World Trade Institute.

Mr. Wilson Ribeiro is fluent in English and Spanish.

He considers himself a lifelong learner and hopes that the experience at the IELPO LL.M Programme will qualify him to pursue an academic career in Law.
