Olga Kusanova



Olga Kusanova was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. She obtained a Bachelor degree in International Relations from Saint-Petersburg State University, Russia. In 2017, Olga finished the 1st year of her Master studies in WTO and EAEU law at the Law School of Saint Petersburg State University.

 Olga’s interest in economic effects of legal rules started with internship at the Legal Department of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce during her studies. She also took part in various scientific conferences and became deeply involved into legal research and writing activities, concentrated on the international law, the WTO and the Eurasian economic integration.

 During her first semester at the Law School, she participated as part of a team in a regional round of the WTO moot court, which took place in Moscow, and ELSA Moot Court competition that was carried out in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in March 2017. This experience as well as chosen field of research stimulated Olga to join the IELPO LL.M. Programme to enhance her knowledge of underlying mechanisms of international trade and international economic law.

 Olga’s mother tongue is Russian and she is fluent in English. She is also in the process of furthering her knowledge in the Legal English having just passed advanced TOLES exam.

 Olga was awarded with the Russian Federation President Scholarship for studies abroad to pursue the IELPO LL.M. Programme.
