Meghan Eurelle

Meghan Eurelle was born in 1991 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at Rhodes University in 2012, in which she double majored in Biochemistry and Legal Theory. She completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 2014. Meghan was placed on the Dean’s List for academic merit in both of the two years of her LLB degree and was named as one of Rhodes University’s ‘Top 100 Students’ in the category of Community Engagement in her penultimate year of her studies. Meghan was elected as the president of the Rhodes University Law Society and Law Students Representative Council in her final year of study, winning various prizes for both her academic achievement and for her community involvement.


After university, Meghan went on to qualify as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2017, having completed her two–year law articles at Nortons Incorporated, a top competition law firm in Johannesburg. Meghan has a keen interest in intellectual property law, however, her interest was greatly sparked in international economic law as a result of working with competition and economic based law.

Meghan has been awarded a partial scholarship for the IELPO programme and hopes that the experience will greatly enrich her academic and cultural experience, as well as fulfil her passion for knowledge and for bettering herself. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys keeping active and aims to complete various marathons across Europe.
