Jana Titievskaia

Since graduating from the London School of Economics in 2013 with a BSc in Government, Jana Titievskaia has been working in Brussels, first as a trainee at a Finnish public affairs consultancy (advising large energy companies) and then as a policy officer at the EU institutions.

Jana has experience from the European Commission's Directorate-General (DG) for Trade, in the unit for Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Western Balkans and EFTA and from DG Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, in the "Support Group for Ukraine" task force. This assignment involved frequent trips to Kiev to help develop the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, particularly regarding public procurement, customs, taxation and small business support. Currently, Jana is working at the policy assessment unit of the European Economic and Social Committee, where she oversees policy evaluations related to the EU internal market.

Jana is trilingual in English, Finnish and Russian, fluent in French and has a basic command of Portuguese, Swedish and Ukrainian. Prior to her studies at LSE, she received a scholarship to do her final two years of high school at the United World College in India. Jana was admitted to the IELPO LL.M on a part-time basis, allowing her to keep up with the work in Brussels.
