Felipe Andrés Diaz Alarcón



Felipe Díaz was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1992. He obtained his law degree and a minor degree in history and economics at Universidad de los Andes (Colombia).

During his undergraduate studies, Felipe was a teaching assistant in procedural law courses. He also focused his research as author of academic papers on topics of procedural law, international economic law and international arbitration.

Felipe focuses his professional practice on commercial and administrative litigation, transnational litigation, domestic and international arbitration in a multinational law firm in Bogotá, Colombia. Felipe advised private and public companies in different dispute resolution mechanisms.

In 2016, he participated in the 14th edition of the ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law representing Universidad de los Andes.

Felipe is a native speaker of Spanish and is fluent in English. He also has an intermediate knowledge of French.

Recognizing his professional and academic backgrounds, Felipe was awarded with one of the two scholarships granted by that Fundación Carolina to join the 2017-2018 IELPO LL.M. Programme.
