Facundo Calvo was born in San Juan, Argentina, in 1989. He obtained his B.A. in International Relations from the Universidad de San Andrés with honors (Magna Cum Laude). During 2012 and 2013, he attended the Masters in International Economic Relations at FLACSO/Universidad de San Andrés in Buenos Aires, where he deepened his knowledge on the legal aspects of international trade.
He worked in the Center for Economy and International Trade as a consultant, where he con-ducted research in the fields of international trade studies, World Trade Organization (WTO) and international trade. In 2015, he was appointed as an International Relations Expert at National Industrial Property Institute of Argentina (INPI), where he developed and implemented programs in the field of international intellectual property law in conjunction with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Due to his professional and academic backgrounds, Facundo was awarded a partial scholarship to join IELPO, where he expects to deepen his knowledge on international economic law and de-velop a career as a scholar.
Facundo is a Spanish native speaker. He is also fluent in English, French and Portuguese, and has a basic knowledge of German.
