Beka Melkamu who was born in Ethiopia is a multi-faceted professional with 10 years of experience living, studying and working in Africa and Asia. In the past he had worked in Public Relations and marketing sector before joining the legal field.
Beka was based in Nairobi Kenya working for one of the leading Public Relations firm, Tell-Em-Public Relations East Africa. While working for Tell-Em, he handled and interacted with global brands such as MTV Africa, Coca-Cola, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Intel, Smirnoff, Microsoft and Pepsi. Beka’s Public Relations experience stretches from Kenya –South Africa–Nigeria – Ethiopia. He has won the best Young Communicator Award from Public Relation Society of Kenya.
Beka also served as senior editor of Handong International Law School (“HILS”) Law Review. He was also a member of a team that won the World Trade Organization Moot Court competition in South Korea. He is also an alumnus of Samsung Global Foundation.
Currently, he holds Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Handong International Law School, South Korea and a BA in Public Relations and Marketing from Daystar University, Kenya.
