Clariesse is a Lawyer hailing from Quezon City, The Philippines. She currently holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management and a Minor in International Business from Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). She also pursued a law degree in the aforementioned school and acquired her Juris Doctor degree with an award of Best Graduation Thesis in 2014. Moreover, in 2015, she was admitted to the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, started working in a private law firm, and also received her license as a real estate broker.
During her studies, she had her internship in her school's Legal Service Center and in two private law firms. She has actively and passionately taken part in numerous school organizations and activities, one of which she was awarded by the Office of the President of the Philippines.
Her interest in International Economic Law can be seen throughout her years in law school. She participated in the ELSA WTO Moot Court Competition thrice: First, unofficially, as a research assistant of the team sent to Taiwan in 2011; second, as an oralist and team captain of the 2012 competition in Indonesia and France; and lastly, as a panelist in the 2015 Asia-Pacific Regional Rounds in the Philippines. In the 2012 competition, her team was awarded the 3rd best team in the Asia-Pacific Regional rounds where she was also awarded Best Oralist in the Semi-final rounds and 4th Best Oralist in the preliminary rounds. She was also a part of the ASEAN Youth Debate hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs as coach and trainer of one of the international teams formed.
Her passion for learning, her past experiences and her expressed interest in International Economic law had made it possible for her to obtain an ELSA scholarship to study in IELPO.
