Born in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, Ahsan decided to pursue his BSc (Hons) Economics degree at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan, concentrating on courses such as International trade, growth economics and the international political economy. He strengthened himself as an inter-disciplinary professional by successfully completing his LLB (Hons) in 2012. To consolidate, Ahsan achieved successful enrolment in the Provincial Bar Council, is a certified therapist and a licensed nutrition consultant.
His work experience includes working from an entry level to a senior position in the automobile industry handling crucial matters such as process re-engineering, financial risk reduction and litigation management. His law practice was in a reputable law firm alongside a Supreme Court lawyer.
His knowledge of economics and corporate work experience enabled him to get enrolled on the panel of lawyers of the Central Bank of Pakistan and the largest commercial bank in the country. In addition, he also represented local municipal corporations in matters of property law. His litigation and consulting experience encompasses property law, competition law, labor law and banking law.
His research work includes working with an international NGO to prepare a legislative draft to be presented in the Parliament. Furthermore, he also conducted successful legal audits of the manufacturing plants of Philip Morris International in addition to coordinating their litigation in several courts during his contractual internship. His articles on the global automobile industry have been published in the National newspaper consistently for a year.
Other than that, his activities include several successful inter-varsity tennis seasons as captain of the team, advocating on environmental action forums, being a brand ambassador, and a popular power yoga instructor at the top yoga studio in the country, catering to re-habilitation and promotion of fitness and health.
He is a native speaker of Urdu, is fluent in English and Punjabi , and has basic knowledge of Arabic and Spanish.
He is currently pursuing his IELPO LL.M. to merge economics and law, to practice as an international trade professional.
