Adriana Camacho Amaya was born in Bogotá, Colombia. She obtained her law degree from Universidad del Rosario in 2012.
During her undergraduate studies, Adriana had an academic exchange at Universidad de Chile where she took studies in International Law, Civil and Trading Contracts, and International Human Rights law.
As part of her academic training, Adriana has also been part of international law competitions. Among these were the “ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO Law, Latin American and Caribbean Regional Round” (2010) in Sao Paulo, Brazil and the “International Arbitration Competition” (2011) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, organized by Rosario and Buenos Aires universities, achieving first place among 51 universities from Latin America and Spain.
Adriana worked between 2012 and 2015 as a lawyer in the corporate law division at Deloitte Asesores y Consultores Ltda, member firm of Deloitte Touche & Tohmatsu, where on a daily basis she advised Companies on all their corporate, exchange and contractual activities, and developed procedures such as incorporation of legal entities, compliance with legal commercial liabilities, registry of foreign investment, compensation accounts and foreign indebtedness, and preparation of diverse type of contracts.
Due to her professional and academic backgrounds, Adriana was awarded a partial scholarship to join IELPO, where she expects to deepen her knowledge on international economic law, which she considers a very important tool to impact society in different areas.
Adriana is a native Spanish speaker. She is also fluent in English, and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
