Luis Miguel is a lawyer who graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru. He is a Licensed Customs Agent and holds a Master’s degree in International Business Management from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
Luis Miguel has a vast professional experience in Customs and International Trade law, foreign trade logistic issues, customs planning and legal consulting on international trade negotiations and WTO disciplines.
His professional career has two differentiated phases: (i) a public one, as a former member of the Peruvian Vice-Ministry of Foreign Trade; and, (ii) a private one, as a legal consultant of the National Society of Industries, KPMG Peru, DELOITTE Peru and other specialized law firms in customs and foreign trade issues.
He was legal advisor of PROMPERU (Peruvian institution in charge of fostering exports), lecturer at International Business Management Program from Universidad Científica del Sur, as well as a regular speaker in forums about customs and foreign trade topics. He also collaborates in several legal journals and specialized publications. He is a member of the Customs law and Foreign Trade Peruvian Association (APDACI) and ius et veritas, a non-profit civil association in legal issues from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru.
