Bilal Fannoun is a Palestinian national who lives in Hebron. In 2011 he graduated from Qatar University’s College of Law and obtained his LL.B. Degree in Law with honors. In addition, he obtained an LL.M. Degree in Comparative Law, Economics and Finance from the International University college of Turin in a joint program with the University of Turin (Universita Degli Studi Di Torino) College of Law, Turin, Italy, in 2014. In order to put into practice the theoretical education he received, during his studies Bilal had the chance to practice and train in many legal departments in private and governmental sectors.
Pertaining his work experience, Bilal has worked in a law firm in Qatar as a legal assistant between 2011-2013 where he advised and supported Qatar-based companies in their legal due diligence related to a proposed business acquisition and joint ventures. In addition, he advised some entities in drafting contracts including construction and related services. Moreover, he advised some companies in their employment contracts as regards regulatory compliance. Furthermore, at the firm he was able to provide legal opinions, draft resolutions, review and revise bilingual contracts in various employment and corporate matters and participated in producing a publication on behalf of the law firm " Article for Qatar Chapter, Environmental Risks for Major Projects, Jurisdictional Comparisons, European Lawyer Reference, October 2012".
As a result of his work experience, Bilal considers himself a hardworking, energetic, flexible and adaptable person to changing environments and work schedules with a positive attitude and effective relation with co-workers and superiors.
He joined the IELPO LL.M. program 2014-2015 as it is a chance for him to get further knowledge, analytical tools and professional skills in the field of international legal and economic governance.
Bilal is a native speaker of Arabic and has a professional command of English in understanding, speaking and writing.
