Diam was born in Lebanon where she pursued her BA degree in International Affairs and Political Science and graduated with honors from the Lebanese American University. During her studies she was a strong social activist and volunteer at several national and international organizations. Upon graduation she started working at the Norwegian Refugee Council in response to the Syrian crisis.
Diam participated at the United Nations and Arab League Models and was chosen to participate at several trainings and/or seminars dealing with major social, political and environmental issues that successfully took place in several places in Europe and in the United States.
She is a native Arabic speaker, fluent in French and English and has a good command in Spanish.
