Telma has a keen interest in all aspects of international economic law, particularly competition law and international trade law. At the undergraduate level, she wrote an academic paper titled ‘Arbitrability of Competition issues in India’. She topped her batch comprising of students from four semesters in competition law.
She has completed her bachelors degree in law with honours from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi in April 2014. To supplement her study of international economic law, she is pursuing an undergraduate degree in economics from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, India. She has also completed the Executive level of Company Secretariship course with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
During her undergraduate studies, Telma interned with several Non Governmental Organizations, alternate dispute resolution centres, litigating lawyers, law firms etc. in India, seeking to gain practical exposure to various areas of law.
She has been admitted to the IELPO batch of 2014- 2015 with a partial scholarship. She considers the IELPO LL.M. as a milestone in her fascinating journey of learning. She is a native speaker of English and Malayalam. She is also moderately fluent in Hindi and Tamil. She is currently learning Spanish.
