Angela was born in Lima, Perú. In 2007, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree form the University of Lima and in 2008 her Law Degree with honors (Summa Cum Laude).
Since 2007, she has been working in the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property – INDECOPI as a legal assistant, where she is in charge of research and conduct complex administrative investigations related to trademarks and patents (exhaustive analysis and examinations in procedures such as registration of trademarks or patents, cancellation of registrations, invalidation of registrations and infringement actions related to Intellectual Property Rights) and support proposals for the consideration of the Tribunal.
In 2011, she completed the training course “Intellectual Property Rights” sponsored and organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with the Kyoto Comparative Law Center (KCLC), held in Osaka. In 2010, she was appointed as the Peruvian Government’s representative in the “Training Course on Examination Practices of Industrial Property (Basic Program)” organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) with Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center (APIC) and Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JII), held in Tokyo, Japan.
She has also teaching experience (as professor) in intellectual property rights courses organized by the Intellectual Property Tribunal for the members of the National Peruvian Police (2009, 2010, and 2012).
