Ivan obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree at the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Law from which he graduated in 2011. During his studies, as he became interested in private international law, he became a member of the Faculty's team who participated at the 2011 XVIII Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. During that period, Ivan was chosen for a summer internship at the Legal Department of the National Bank of Serbia.
After completing his Bachelor studies, Ivan worked for a year and a half as an Associate at one of the most prestigious law offices in Serbia - Prica & Partners - where he mainly dealt with corporate and commercial issues. During his work at the office, he was actively involved in two international arbitration proceedings. In 2013, Ivan was selected to take part in a four-month internship at the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) in the Netherlands where his activities centered on international commercial contracts.
