Mariya-Khrystyna was born in Lviv, Ukraine in 1990.
In 2007 she began her academic career in international law and further obtained her Master Degree in International Law (2013) from the Institute of International Relations, National University of Kyiv, Ukraine.
In parallel to her studies, Mariya-Khrystyna participated in several international student conferences and different international moot court competitions (Jessup, Telders, etc.). In 2010, she completed Legal English course at the University of Cambridge and obtained an ILEC Certificate.
In 2013, Mariya-Khrystyna together with her teammates participated in ELSA Moot Court Competition on WTO (EMC2), successfully passed through both National and Regional Rounds, they made it to the Final Round in Geneva, Switzerland.
While still being engaged in her final year at the Master Programme, Mariya-Khrystyna joined one of the leading law firms in Ukraine as a paralegal in the banking and finance sector.
Mariya-Khrystyna decided to enrol in IELPO Programme in order to expand her knowledge of International Economic Law and WTO law, in particular, due to the increasing importance of the world trade system as a means of sustainable development and growth.
She is a native speaker of Ukrainian and is fluent in English and Russian. Currently is learning Spanish.
