Kshitij Bansal graduated from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, India in International Laws and Global Governance in 2013. He has been a research oriented student of law and public policy and aspires to influence global policy discourses through his writings and advocacy. With more than thirty five research publications in leading journals, magazines and newspapers; he has presented papers at reputed national and international conferences. He was the Robert Bosch Stiftung Scholar for the year 2012 and attended US-German Summer School in International and Comparative Law held in Giessen, Germany.
During law school, Bansal interned with international organisations like South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Asian African Legal Consultative Organisation (AALCO) and Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI). He has been associated with various global research networks like Earth System Governance and also attended Asia Pacific Network funded events in Russia and Thailand.
Bansal has been very active in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy. He represented India at G20 Youth Summit, Washington D.C. 2012 as the Head of State and was also the UNESCO Youth Peace Ambassador for the year 2012.
A University topper and a distinction holder, he also founded India’s first youth-led public policy think tank, named International Policy Analysis Network (IPAN) in 2011. IPAN has already created a niche amongst Indian youth circles and plans to reorient the youth movement by involving them in public policy research.
A passionate singer in Hindustani light vocal music, Bansal also holds immense interest in theatre, poetry and travelling.
