Wenjie Qian obtained a Bachelor's Degree in economics and a Master's Degree in International Law.
After graduating from Law school, Ms. Qian joined the Shanghai WTO Affairs Consultation Center (SCCWTO) in 2005, a first-class research institution in China specialized in the field of DSU/WTO and EU economy. In SCCWTO, Ms. Qian accomplished many important research papers for the central government and the municipal governments, and provided legal advice to the public sector and enterprises.
Due to her excellent working performance, in 2007 Ms.Qian was selected to work for the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) through the Human Talents Exchange. In MOFCOM, she was responsible of arranging specific issues of China's WTO dispute cases; taking part in the negotiation of DSU cases in Geneva; participating in the Doha Round Rules Negotiation in Geneva; participating in the Legislation of trade-related act.
Since 2012, Ms.Qian has joined the IELPO program in order to expand her academic knowledge systemically in the field of international economic law. She is glad to have the opportunity to interact with world-renowned faculty members.
Ms. Qian is a native speaker of Chinese and is fluent in English.
