Chunhong Rao was born in China.
She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Nanjing University in 2005, and continued to pursue further study in Transnational Law and Business University in South Korea for two years, until she obtained a Master’s Degree in International Law in 2007.
Upon completing her studies, Ms. Rao joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2007, a first tier law firm in China, and worked at the international trade department. Ms. Rao specialized in international trade practice, including WTO dispute settlements, trade remedies and general import and export matters. She has provided legal services in a number of WTO dispute settlement cases for the P.R.C. Ministry of Commerce. She has also provided legal services for foreign companies in trade remedy cases and advised foreign and Chinese companies on international trade related matters.
Ms.Rao has decided to join the IELPO program to expand her academic knowledge in the field of international economic law. She also considers the course to be an excellent chance to communicate with the esteemed faculty members and fellow students.
Ms. Rao is a native speaker of Chinese and is fluent in English. She has passed the Chinese Bar Exam.
