Nadine Marisa was born in Georgetown, Guyana.
She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) from the University of Guyana and a Master of Science in International Trade Policy from the University of the West Indies in Barbados.
During her graduate studies, Marisa showed great interest in international law and the economics of trade which was reflected in research she conducted on trade regulations, export facilitation and Guyana’s economy.
Her participation in a Study Tour in Geneva, Switzerland, which focussed on WTO law and international trade and development, has made her realize the extent to which she is interested in international law, specifically the development of the Caribbean region and its relations to the rest of the world.
She has decided to join the IELPO programme to expand her academic knowledge in the field of international economic law and gain insights on how policy in this area is developed in the international stage.
