Fengli Zhang was born in China. She obtained her Bachelor degree in English from Beijing International Studies University in 2005. Between 2008 and 2009, she also attended the Postgraduates Course of Economic Law in China University of Political Science & Law. Fengli has passed the Bar examination in China, and is currently a licensed lawyer in China.
From 2005 to 2006, Fengli worked as an associate in Beijing Huanzhong & Partners, a Chinese law firm specializing in the field of trade remedies, where she has helped enterprises at home and abroad respond to anti-dumping and countervailing investigation questionnaires and comment on the government’s investigation procedures. In 2006 and 2007, Fengli was invited by the World Bank to its Doing Business project and has contributed to the annual reports by introducing China’s legislation on business laws and the enforcement thereof.
Apart from Chinese, Fengli is fluent in English and has some basic knowledge of French.
