Born into a Belgian/Greek family, Byron grew up in Brussels where he attended the European Schools. After graduating from secondary school, he spent a year at the University of Athens in order to improve his Greek reading and writing skills. Subsequently, he enrolled in the 'Law with French Law' LLB at the University of East Anglia, including a year abroad at the Université de Strasbourg. Before joining IELPO, Byron followed the LLM on International and European Law at the Institute for European Studies (IES) of the Free University of Brussels (VUB), also known as the Programme on International Legal Cooperation (PILC).
Furthermore, Byron has obtained work experience during student jobs and vacation schemes at the Bank of New York Mellon, Herbert Smith and Baker & McKenzie.
Byron is fluent in Dutch, English, French and Greek.
