Michael George Loizou



Michael is an Advocate (Δικηγόρος) and works at the Court of Justice of the European Union.


He obtained an English and European Law LL.B (Hons) from Queen Mary College, University of London and a Diploma in corporate legal practice from the College of Law in London. He also holds a certificate of French Law from the University of Pathéon-Assas (Paris II).


Upon completing his studies, he joined S.A. Evangelou & Co LLC in Cyprus, a member firm of PwC International. Michael qualified as an Advocate in 2010, gaining experience in Corporate Law and Corporate Litigation. Michael then attended the 2011/2012 edition of the IELPO program to specialise in international trade law and gain an insight on how policy in this area is developed on the international stage.


Upon completing IELPO he joined the Court of Justice of the European Union where he currently works as a legal expert for the Research and Documentation Directorate.


He speaks Greek, English, French, Spanish, Italian, and basic Portuguese.
