Gabriele was born in Sicily, Italy. He received both a first degree and a master degree in Law (International and EU law curriculum, cum laude) from the University of Milan.
During his studies he has been Erasmus student for one academic year at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and Visiting Research Fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (London).
After graduation, he has worked for six months in a small law firm in Sicily and afterwards he has been intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Italian Permanent Mission in Geneva - WTO department).
After IELPO, Gabriele has worked as a consultant for a law firm dealing with trade, intellectual property and national arbitration issues. In 2013, he started working as researcher and teaching assistant at Bocconi University in Milan and, almost concurrently, he started an ad hoc Ph.D. program between the University of Palermo in Italy and the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, and under a thesis co-direction at Bocconi University. Also, he has served and currently works as an external consultant for intergovernmental organizations.
He is fluent in English, Spanish and French and has a good command of Portuguese and German.
